Mike is working so the girls and I went to a horticultural day. We learned about recycling and got a little bit of gardening advice. But mostly we got our faces painted and rode in a wagon drawn by horses. There were camels there too, but we arrived too late to ride them.
It must be 90 degrees and we all smell like coppertone....the smell of summer!
We planted seeds last Saturday. We have decided to grow a garden this year and this is the first time we have planted from seeds. I thought it would be fun for the girls to watch something sprout from seed.

Mike has started digging the plot for the garden outside. It will be many weeks before these little sprouts are ready to go outside.
I am a crafty, science mom. I love to sew, print, bake, knit, iron on,
hot glue and bake. I majored in Chemistry but no longer use it in my
job. Now I just use it in my crafts and bring it up in conversation as
often as possible. I am an anagram, palindrome, word fanatic. I have a
wonderful husband and two little girls who keep me busy. I am a
recovering perfectionist who is trying to accept that life is messy.
